Creative Practice 12/28

Today's practice was Mario from http://abduzeedo.com. This one was a little more time consuming than Dexter was. However, the actual usage of the pen tool was mostly to make straight lines with a few exceptions. Hopefully, within the next few minutes, I'll finally stop hearing "It'sa me. Mario," in my head.

I know I need more practice in Illustrator, especially with the pen tool. So I'm going to try to do at least one tutorial a day that I've found online. I'm not going to limit myself to just Illustrator tutorials because there are tools in all of the Creative Suite programs that I have no idea what they do or that they even exist. This past weekend I went to the Be Deviant Social Media Summit. One of the speakers has this web site. Look at the upper right hand corner, actually I don't think it's possible to not look there. It looks like it's turning a page from a book.

Have I mentioned yet how much I LOVE Smashing Magazine? It's easy to keep up with everything by finding them on facebook, but also follow them on Twitter because they usually put even more links to cool resources on Twitter.
